You can’t try to crash your own network.

No one loves phone networks, in fact they despise them. Sprint built a new, faster network but no one believed them, so we invited people to a game to torture test and try and crash it by sharing heavy photo and video data, using the help of Instagram and the Art Institute. We kicked it off with Instagram photographer Paul Octavious and ran a contest to pick the top pieces and reward them to become a part of an installation we built for the Art Institute. At a ceremonious event, they were able to take it over and share the experience in the very network they tried to crash.

We created specific down to the neighborhood hyper targeted and relevant contest pieces and blanketed the city inviting people to try and crash Sprint. The best entries were voted on by the city and became part of an installation at the Art Institute.
